Chocolate pancakes with chocolate chips make a fun dessert treat when topped with banana split toppings.
1Heat griddle or skillet; grease if necessary. Stir Bisquick mix, milk, 1/4 cup chocolate syrup and the egg in medium bowl until blended (batter will be thin). Stir in chocolate chips.
2Pour batter by a little less than 1/4 cupfuls onto hot griddle (because chocolate chips will sink, scoop batter from bottom of bowl for a more even distribution of chips).
3Cook until edges are dry. Turn; cook until golden brown. Serve with bananas, strawberries, additional chocolate syrup, whipped topping, peanuts and maraschino cherries.
- Did You Know…: Spraying cooking spray onto a hot surface or near a heat source is not recommended because of the potential for fires.
- Special Touch: Have a pancake social! For your next ice cream get-together, make banana split pancakes. Chocolate pancakes go great with any ice-cream topping and will definitely be the talk of the party.
- Substitution: Purists can whip up about 1/3 cup of whipping (heavy) cream to use in place of the 2/3 cup whipped topping.
